This wayside system checks the dynamic behavior of vehicles on the track, to determine if they are hunting or if they exhibit behavior indicating their propensity to hunt.
Truck Review & Assessment Module (TRAAM) detects truck related problems such as hunting, tracking, excessive angle of attack and vehicle geometrical problems that all may result in:
increased energy costs (diesel, electricity)
rail and wheel damage (maintenance costs)
Our Truck Review and Assessment Module measures the dynamic behavior of the axles and bogies as the train passes and flags hunting axles and bogies. The system assesses each axle for its propensity to hunt, measures the severity of each axle’s angle of attack, as well as its severity of tracking.
All geometrical measurements are made as the train passes and any out-of-specification measurements are flagged.
When the train has passed, the system generates an immediate report with all critical findings. This report can be tailored to Railroad preferences.
This module can be integrated into ATEx systems.
